Must See TV (and other obsessions)

Thursdays are overwhelming for me now. Not only do I have the regulars - Smallville & Supernatural, but now Hell's Kitchen AND Bones are coming on at the same damn time!! This isn't so bad since I usually watch the boys online anyway. But now I am going to have to add Bones to my online watching since I will still be carting the Princess to her rendezvous with the boyfriend at church. Couple that with my new found love of British TV (Thanks a lot [info]coreopsis ) which seems to fill up my weekends. So it seems I am now a slave to not only my tv, but also my PC. Damn, I'm such an addict!!

Tonight, however, I didn't have to drive the princess anywhere [she is spending this week under the bridge with the troll] so I was treated to not 1 but 2 hilarious episodes of Bones. I was also fortunate to find both the Smallville and Supernatural downloads very early this evening so I might even be getting me some Clark Kent before the night is through.

That will depend, of course, on the cold medicine allowing me to stay awake. Yes, I am sick - again. I have been since Sunday only now I am worse and cranky. I am also very behind on my work which has me sitting on the pc posting listings instead of in the bed sleeping this off.

Alright, enough bitching. Back to TV
I have a new fav show - The United States of Tara. It is the story of a family who (very humorously) deals with the mother's multiple personality disorder. Toni Collette plays this mother of a sexually active bombshell teen and her Suzy-homemaker gay brother. Who is lucky enough to be married to John Corbett. Mom apparently cannot handle stress and becomes one of 3 other personalities to deal with her problems. It rocks, you should watch it. That's all I have to say about that.

As for other TV, Fringe is back (yeah), 24 is rockin, and House and Cuddy are definitely gonna do that dirty. Life is good.

Oh and I swiped this meme off [info]coreopsis who in turn got it from another who probably got it from another.....

Grrr, grrr and double grrrr (and bags)

I am frantically trying to get my 3 pages of "must do" finished before we leave town in a week - post 8 new bags on ebay, make 125 wedding favors, finish 2 custom bags for wedding party members, alter 3 of the 3 dresses we are wearing in the wedding, and so on. Top all that off with the princesses birthday on Monday (15) and it is a wonder this headache is not already a migraine.

So I sit down for some me time to watch Supernatural from last night. Supposed to be 45 minutes of gory, nerve racking bliss. Instead, I get 45 minutes of to-be-continued. grrrr )

Anyway, as I said, I have been frantically putting bags together for the past couple of days.I started them off with a custom Torchwood bag for [info]coreopsis , but I am an idiot and forgot to take a picture.    Oh well.
Since this post is about the boys, I'll post their bag before the cut:
Twilight, Middleman, Spike, and MORE )
All of these bags will be on ebay by 9:00 pm, cst for five day listings!!

If anyone is interested in a custom bag, please let me know!!! They start at $25. :)

Supernatural --- NO!

So last night went like many others - I watched a rather excellent Smallville.  Then I made a conscious desision to watch the debate over Supernatural (mainly because I knew I would have to pick up the princess from church and I didnt want to miss any of it).

So I watched the debate and listened to it on the radio when I picked up the princess.  Sarah Palin is MUCH easier to take if you are just listening to her.  I hated winking and her staring directly into the camera all the time and her condecending ways of talking down to Americans.   You just cant see that on the radio, so I was grateful.
I was also grateful that she didn't make a total ass of herself.   Oh, don't get me wrong, I tuned in to see Tina Fey's dress rehearsal, but I realized very soon into it that a profound Palin blunder would destroy the message Biden was trying to send.  And I think with her quazi-professional performance, the American people were able to see that.
ALRIGHT, SO I AM STEPPING OFF MY SOAP BOX NOW!!!!

So then, I was faced with the delima of locating the missed Supernatural, which almost too some supernatural powers of my own to pull off.    Finally get the bitch downloaded this morning and salivate for 45 minutes of an all Dean (Van Halen) episode and what do I get???  A two parter!!!   I hate 2 part episodes of any show, but I get particularly pissy when its Supernatural because it means something terrible is going to happen.
I Break for Sexy!! )

Next week will be a TV bummer with House and Fringe being pre-empted for the 2nd Prez debate.  I understand the importance of these, but can't they do it while Dancing with the Stars is on or something.   Why House?? This is the real problem America.

So I am hoping for a weekend filled with a revving sewing machine and lots of spirits with friends.   I need both in the worst way.

blah, blah, blah, blah Bones

Cranky BONES Rant )But in excellent recasting news, the incredibly handsome Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) is now a regular member of the Smallville cast and Clark has finally given up the farm life for Metropolis.  If they play their cards right, the S man will be flying by the season end.  Somehow I figure Lois will have something to do with that.
Hopefully the VP debate will not interfer with the Smallville/ Supernatural love fest I have going on every Thursday.   As interested as I am to hear her speak, I really just dont give a flying rats ass.

and now the rest of the story

So tonight I went to [info]coreopsis  house for great food, convo and alcohol.  [info]purplicious1 was my very generous DD, so I could partake of the spirits.   I had a super blast and I was sorry that life once again stepped in and ruined a perfectly good time.  :)

Anywho, I got a killer postcard of the Winchester boys that I will cherish until I find one without their shirts on and I tried Bacardi Watermelon Rum which was delicious and bizzare all in the same gulp.

Crappy Craft Show, Kindered Spirits, Sheep-like Behaviour )

All in all, today was the perfect Innaguration of the Liquor of the Month Club.    I am already looking forward to the October(fest) Meeting.   I am thinking sausage on a stick and a dark lager.    Yum.

Hmmmm

Sometimes playing Mom sucks goat ass.

Please pray with me that I will be able to see Supernatural tomorrow in it's Dean-erific entirety, since today I was forced to sit in a parking lot at a church waiting for children to eat nachos. (Not, that wasn't some strange dream, that is my life.)

Grrrrrrrrrrr

Hey [info]coreopsis and [info]purplicious1 , how about we play this ) on saturday?? (It made me feel better.)

I'm the voice
inside your head
You refuse to hear
I'm the face that
you have to face
Mirrored in your stare
I'm what's left,
I'm what's right
I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that
will take you down
Bring you to your knees

So who are you?
